Science Update
Science has been buzzing with excitement across the school, with each year group exploring fascinating topics through hands-on learning and investigation.
• Year 1 have been discovering the animals in their local area and learning about how to care for pets, understanding the importance of looking after living things.
• Year 2 have been investigating plant growth, exploring how different conditions affect the way plants develop.
• Year 3 conducted an experiment to test which surfaces create the most friction and have also been exploring the power of magnets.
• Year 4 have been learning about Fair Trade, discussing how science and sustainability play a role in global food production.
• Year 5 carried out an experiment to determine the best methods for preserving food, looking at how different factors impact freshness.
• Year 6 have been delving into the science of the brain, carrying out an experiment to explore how they learn best.
It’s been an exciting term full of curiosity and discovery! We can’t wait to see what the next investigations bring.
