We answered: Moderation at Kensington

At Kensington Primary, we have a rigorous and effective system to moderate children’s Reading, Writing and Maths outcomes. This allows us to ensure accuracy and consistency with judgements, expectations and next steps/ targets across each Year Group.

Moderation cycles are carried out within the Phases in our school, as well as with the other schools in our Trust, on a planned and regular basis. The outcomes of the moderation cycles are then used to track each pupils’ progress and attainment, together with our daily assessment systems, as well as to inform future planning.

Teaching Staff also attend and/ or receive relevant moderation CPD.
