Stephen Timms MP congratulates Kensington Primary
Stephen Timms MP visited Kensington Primary School today to congratulate them on their recent double award win.
It has just been announced that Kensington Primary School has been awarded 2 Pearson National Teaching Silver Awards – one of the most prestigious awards in education, known as the 'Oscars' of education. These were awarded to:
Kensington Primary School for Primary School of the Year.
Helen Harris, SENDCO at Kensington Primary School, who has won The Award for Excellence in Special Needs Education.
This is a huge accomplishment and testament to the work the school did to become a key part of its local community, and really pay attention to the needs of each child within the school.
The award winners are now in the running for one of just 14 Gold Awards which will be announced later in the year, in a programme which, it is hoped, will be broadcast on the BBC. This is a great opportunity to celebrate exceptional schools and staff who have worked wonders during an incredibly challenging time for educators across the country.
Stephen sent the school the attached letter to congratulate them on their achievement.
