Learning in Year 2R

This week, Y2R have been reading the story The Dark, which tells the tale of a young boy who is afraid of the dark. The children have been practising empathy by exploring the character’s feelings and asking him questions.

In Maths, they have been learning various subtraction strategies, using concrete resources and pictorial representations for support.

In Culture, children have been discovering and learning about different forms of art, including performing arts, sculpture, and architecture.

Y2R thoroughly enjoy and eagerly anticipate their Fitness and Physical Health lessons. In Gymnastics, they have been practising to travel across apparatus, maintaining their balance, and jumping off with control while holding a steady pose.
