Learning in Year 2

Year 2 have been really busy with some great learning experiences!

In Maths, the children have been focusing on multiplication, using arrays to visually represent their understanding. Arrays are a great way for them to see how multiplication works as repeated addition, and they help build a strong foundation for more advanced maths concepts.

In English, they’ve been writing letters to Laszlo, helping him overcome his fear of the dark. This activity not only encourages empathy but also allows them to practice writing complex sentences, improving their ability to express ideas clearly and add detail to their writing.

In Culture, the children have been working with clay to create their own sculptures. This hands-on activity gives them the opportunity to explore different textures, shapes, and artistic techniques while developing their creativity and fine motor skills.

It sounds like an exciting term with a great mix of subjects!
