Kensington’s Summer Fair
This year's Summer Fair was a fun day for all!
The weather was sunny and bright which helped with a great turnout. With the positivity and enthusiasm of all of the staff, we managed to organise an incredible fair this year.
We had face painting, Henna, Create your own crown, photo key-chains and Mr Pell's portraits! The pupils in year 6 ran their own stalls, creating different and challenging games. These pupils learned a great lesson in money management whilst having lots of fun. Through our collections we sold many items at our Toys and tat, second hand books and clothes stalls, Thank you to everyone who contributed.
There were also a variety of tasty food stalls which drew in the crowds not forgetting the innovative smoothie bike!
Finally our entertainment brought the whole crowd together, starting off with the choirs beautiful singing, Year 5's Eid dance, Mr McKinnon and Mr Turuka’s duet performance and finally a selection of year 5 and 6's dusted off their dancing shoes to perform their new dance choreographed by Mrs Rathinam.
The best part was that we managed to raise £820 for our charity Refugee Action! This is an incredible amount and I cannot thank everybody enough for all their help and support with organising this brilliant event. Kensington's summer fair was a great example of people coming together for a good cause.
