This prestigious award was given based on how our school has embedded the arts across the school and through ALL subjects. We believe that children's love of learning is greatly impacted by fun, creative and colourful music, art, dance, drama, DT lessons. We also believe that developing these skills in English, Maths and Science has greatly helped all children reach their potential and make excellent progress. This is the first time we have applied for Artsmark, so we were thrilled when we skipped 2 levels and went straight to Silver! In addition, the time frame is usually 2 years, but we achieved this in 1! Many thanks to the staff and parents who are strong supporters of the arts at Kensington. And a special thanks to Miss Elliott and Mr Hope for gathering and submitting all the evidence and documents required to make this happen. Going forward, we will now embed the arts further into the curriculum, share good practise across the TTLT and further develop links with external agencies.
