We were asked to explain and show our reading initiatives to other schools in the borough. This included talking through how we teach explicit reading skills at Kensington Primary School; how we teach phonics; how we have promoted the pleasure for reading and how we have improved home-school links. Consequently, Newham schools will be learning from our approaches to reading, and implementing these in their own schools.
