The first Gold Healthy School in Newham
Kensington Primary School is delighted to be named the first Gold Healthy School in Newham!
The school places a significant focus on the health and wellbeing of its children, community and staff. Science Lead, Samra Malik, said: ‘We know that being healthy is crucial for our children’s happiness and future success. Healthy children also learn more effectively and come to school more regularly. Healthier parents are better able to support their children and healthier staff bring more energy and positivity to their classrooms. Investing in health is what makes Kensington a place everyone loves to be!’
The trailblazing school has introduced a ground breaking curriculum – Curriculum K – that is preparing the school’s children for life in the 21st century. Physical and Emotional Health are at the heart of this curriculum due to the importance of both in children’s lives now and their lives as they move through education and into the wider world.
