Learning in Year 3

Y3E went to see Stickman today at the theatre, and really enjoyed it! Before the trip, the children predicted what they thought was going to happen just by looking at the front cover. They used their prediction skills they have been learning in English, by looking at the clues on the front cover to predict what they think the story was about and then wrote a short paragraph in their books.

After having visited the theatre and having watched the play, the children then drew their own versions  of what the front cover should look like, drawing clues and events from what actually happened in the story.

Year 3 has also been learning about the importance of eyes, learning what the different parts of the eyes are, and more importantly, understanding that getting our eyes checked and looking after our eyes is part of a healthy lifestyle.
