Multilingual Storytime at EastHam Library

Multilingual Storytime at EastHam Library

Multilingual Storytime went to Eastham library. We had the opportunity to share with the library and Lathom Primary school how we use languages at Kensington Primary.

Our children were so brave and shared how they use the library and why we use our languages. We are all so proud of them! They not only spoke to different children, but they shared stories and listened to them read. Our pupils were really confident in knowing what languages are spoken at home and by their friends, and why it's important to value all languages.

Multilingualism is for all children, such as monolingual, bilingual, multilingual, those who aren’t proficient in English and those who aren’t proficient in their home language. Languages benefit all of us by learning, sharing and being curious about each other's languages.

Many thanks to Eastham library’s team for hosting us and helping us spread the important message of multilingualism.
