Dear Parents and Carers,
This week in Y4S, the children have been busy exploring prepositional phrases and persuasive language in their writing. They applied these skills to plan and design posters to promote their unique chocolate creations, ensuring their adverts were both eye-catching and persuasive. It’s been fantastic to see their creativity and enthusiasm shine!
In Science, the focus has been on understanding nutrition, balanced diets, and the environmental impact of our food choices. The children explored the components of a healthy diet and even created their own meat-free balanced meal on paper. These activities help them think critically about sustainable eating and how it benefits both personal health and the environment.
In Technology, we have started delving into coding with J2E Logo. The children learnt about degree turns and directions, and they created their own list of commands to program movements. Their logical thinking and problem-solving skills are developing brilliantly as they explore the basics of programming.
