Kensington Primary School

Learning in Year 3

In Year 3, students have been exploring a variety of exciting topics. In maths, we have been comparing fractions, learning how to identify and represent fractions of a whole, and understanding how to compare their sizes. In English, we've been developing their writing skills by creating engaging narratives, focusing on structure, creativity, and using complex sentences. We have also been learning about the importance of healthy eating and lifestyles, understanding how different foods and physical activity contribute to overall well-being. To support their physical health, the students have been swimming each morning, which has provided them with the opportunity to develop their swimming skills. The students have shown incredible enthusiasm and resilience in balancing these activities with their academic work, demonstrating both mental and physical strength in their learning journey.
