Choir performing @ Royal Albert Hall
This week, KenSINGton choir had the amazing experience of performing at Royal Albert Hall!
We joined forces with 1,200 pupils from schools across London to fundraise for Barnardos (children's charity). We sang songs from a range of places and time periods e.g.: Consider Yourself (from Oliver), The Flintstones, Banana Boat (Day-O!) and Lil Liza Jane (folksong).
A big thank you to our parents - we are so grateful to have your support!!
When asked about how choir has made an impact on their learning, here are some responses:
· "It makes me feel confident" - Siyona, y3
· "Learning the lyrics helps my reading" - Gvidas y5
· "I am going to be famoooooous! Look!" - Wiktoria, y6, as she sings and dances down the corridor.
Choir rehearses every Wednesday after school. Pupils are welcome to join any time (see the office for a permission slip). Our next project will be leading a mass choir in partnership with Newham Music. Stay tuned!
