New Starters

On this page we will provide a little bit more information for those families that are new to Kensington Primary School.

Admissions

Once your child has been allocated a school space at Kensington you will receive a phone call or an email to book an interview date. Please come to the interview with your child and the following documents:

Full Birth Certificate for a child (with mum's and dad's details)
Passport (child’s and parents)
Two proofs of your home address (gas/electricity bill, tenancy agreement, council tax bill, bank statement)
Parents' National Insurance number or NASS number (if you are an asylum seeker)

During the admissions interview you will be provided with a quick information about our school and you will be given a start date.

School Day

Nursery AM - 8:30am to 11:30am
Nursery PM – 12:30pm to 3:30pm
Reception–Y6 – 8:55am to 3:15pm

Morning Break: 10:30am-10:45am

Lunch Time:

Reception -11:30am to 1:05pm
Y1-Y6 – 12:05pm to 1:05pm

All children are provided with school lunch for free, you can check out our school menu here: Lunches. If you wish your child can bring their own packed lunch instead. We are a healthy school therefore no sweets, chocolates, fast food, fizzy drinks should be included in a packed lunch.

Important things to bring – School book bag and a water bottle (no glass bottles or fizzy drinks).

Uniform

Our school uniform is based around our school colours and the school logos, but it is not compulsory to have uniform with the school logo on and children can wear plain clothing as per our uniform list that you can find here: Uniform

SchoolMoney

We are a cashless school. We use online payment system SchoolMoney (SchoolMoney login)

Once your child has been registered you will receive a text message with your login details. Please use this information to log on to SchoolMoney to purchase uniform, pay for clubs or any other payments due to school.
