Physical Health
Fitness
Children will enjoy fun and engaging fitness lessons three times a week, each lasting 30 minutes. These sessions are designed to help improve overall fitness levels while fostering a lifelong love for staying active and healthy.
Skills
Children will develop essential abilities through sessions focused on two key areas: Skills for Life and Sports Skills. These one-hour weekly sessions will provide opportunities for them to practice and apply their new skills in meaningful and fun ways, building confidence and competence along the way.
Skills for Life
Skills for Life focusses on helping children build a strong foundation for lifelong physical ability by developing key areas such as agility, balance, and coordination. Throughout their time in school, from Early Years (EYFS) to Year 6, children will have opportunities to master skills in movement, flexibility, spatial awareness, and swimming. This curriculum ensures that they develop essential skills that will not only prepare them for our Sports Skills program but also help them lead active and healthy lives in the future.
Sports Skills
In our Sports Skills program, children will have the opportunity to acquire, develop, and apply a range of essential sporting skills. These fundamental skills, such as sending, receiving, dribbling, kicking, and rolling, are the building blocks needed to play specific sports effectively. As they progress, children will be encouraged to use these skills in competitive settings, helping them build confidence, teamwork, and a love for sport.
